Long Lake #58 DAY ONE!
Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho It’s Off To Work We Go……
Noront Resources Ltd in partnership with DAREarts and Engage hit the ground running today with Day 1 of the Mining Movie Making Film Camp in Beautiful Long Lake #58!! 9 youth stepped into the role of environmental technicians and filmmakers taking samples and documenting the process using different camera angles to get them ready to create a film about mining in just 3 days! The Youth decided on their own version of the TV show “The Office” incorporating comedy and the tag line: “Let’s start our own mining company…”
What a great creative way for these youth to explore the different job opportunities available to them in the mining industry.
This is a comedy with a conscience that’s bound to inspire all! Stay tuned for more updates as we have 2 more days of filming to go!!
Long Lake Day #2!
I Love Rocks!
A CEO with a shovel, a geologist that loves rocks, and an Engineer that does the robot dance. These are just a few of the quirky characters that appeared on our film set today in Sunny Long Lake #58. Cast and Crew worked hard today shooting in many different locations so that we could wrap up our shot list and get this film in the can. Ethan O’Nabieon had us in stitches most of the day with his amazing improv skills and many different versions of saying “ I love Rocks!” Tammy Goupil shared her hopes for future generations around more environmentally friendly mining practices and her dreams of seeing more jobs for women .It was another great day filled with laughter, sunshine, and hard work…Way to Go Long Lake First Nations #58 and a big shout out to our mentors from Noront, Engage, and DAREarts!!
